Awful. The author's background is in TV and it's clear. No character development. Jane Candiotti is simply Superwoman. The dialogue is cringe-worthy. Attempts to further humanize Jane (and her husband, Kenny) by making her pregnant fail badly. The writing would be perfect for a middling 1-hour cop-series on TV for a Tuesday night.
