After adopting a daughter, Lydia hoped her life would be complete, but traumatic memories from her daughter's past threaten to ruin their happiness. And Lauren has always yearned for marriage and a family of her own, but her long-term boyfriend just won't commit. Will a whirlwind romance with an unlikely stranger lead to the happily-ever-after she's always dreamed of?

Fairly light and non-consequential - good if you are looking for a quick read that doesn't require much thinking. Predictable.

a generic romance novel. Not her best. Definitely helps to have read some of her previous books, for the background of some of the characters, but not absolutely necessary.
Predictable, even sappy, I liked the background story of the knitting store best of all the stories going on.

The Blossom Street books are some of my favourites from Debbie Macomber. I like the characters who inhabit this street and how their lives intertwine. No matter what challenges any of them face, the reader knows the ending will be on the happier side of life, and sometimes that is exactly what I need.

Three friends gather frequently at a knitting store, 'The Good Yarn,' and make for a very good yarn. They are the three strands around whom the yarn revolves - they, their partners, and their children. I had a bit of trouble keeping the characters straight but once I did it was gripping. Macomber's characters are very human which makes for a poignant story. A good read which turns into a page-turner.

Another great MaComber read! I have read every one of Debbie's books and each one is better than the last. Can't wait for the next book!

another great book in the Blossom Street series

I couldn't even finish it, it was so sappy. I usually like her books, but not this one.
