I was expecting much better. Gaga has a great voice, but this cd did nothing for me to the point of disappointment..

I really like Guy, dunno why, just do. Don't think about the meaning, you'll be fine. Applause is crap. I'm just gonna say that. Everything else is cool.

Solid composition and production. I like the Jeff Koons jacket photo. Lady Gaga is a legitimate pop artist.

Great Album but APL STAFF PLEASE CLEAN ARTPOP FROM FAULK LIBRARY IT HAS A BIG SCRATCH Austin public library staff I highly reccomemend to get a cd cleaner for every branch. I try to be careful but other people need to be careful im not being hypocritical cause i do it by accident but these audio cds are the public for apl library card members so my self and everyone should pledge to be careful

I didn't really enjoy this album. The only song I liked was "Gypsy" because it was the only one with heartfelt meaning behind it. "Applause" was okay-ish. Every other song sounded like a big mess.

i honestly think gaga did an amazing job with artpop from "APPLAUSE to DO WHAT YOU WANT" Shes a great singer and all of her songs are good dance songs to i recommend this album to anyone

I love lady gaga she is my idol.i love her so much she is so talented and awesome and the bom and the best person that came in this world

this album is one of the best yet. Claws up little monsters!

I've heard all the songs on youtube, and I really like Venus, MANiCURE, Swine, Donatella, Dope and Gypsy. Those tracks are my favorites so far! I can't wait for the 11th! Go Artpop, go Gaga!

I can't wait for this to come out! I love Applause.

Summary

Add a Summary

While it’s stronger than the messy ‘Born This Way’, ‘Artpop’ feels little more culture-quaking than a good collection of fun, silly, well-crafted pop songs. ‘Swine’ is a romping, ridiculous synth blart, Gaga barking, “You’re just a pig inside a human body/Squealer, oh you’re so disgusting”. ‘Venus’ is silly Barbarella sci-fi disco, camping it up to the edge of the solar system (complete with Uranus puns), while ‘Sexxx Dreams’ deploys Princey falsetto over Daft Punk disco-rush. When things try to get more ‘serious’, they go awry. The point she’s trying to make by tying in her points about the gloriously hollow lure of fame with references to the burqa on ‘Aura’ remains vague, as it does on the Amsterdam red light district sleaze of ‘Mary Jane Holland’, which closes with what sounds like Gaga sparking up a fat one. Sonically, the album freshens up Gaga’s glammy, industrial romp with the gloss of Daft Punk’s ‘Discovery’ (whose wildly arpeggiating guitars are all over this) and brostep boshing. It’s a decent pop record. That’s it. Read more at http://www.nme.com/reviews/lady-gaga/14977#ViYuHmGqAhFPVRhX.99
