Awful movie! Everything about this movie is boring! The story, the characters, the villain, the action sequences, everything is boring!!! Don’t bother…

Hero or zero? Depends on what you like in these movies. If chewing gum for the testosterone beast within, this is as good as any.
If, as i, you watch them at least as much for inadvertent comedy value, then the "silly lightweight dramatics of Thor or Iron Man" are way better.
This movie is in something like 'the uncanny valley"- not real enough to take seriously, but too self-important to provide any laughs. And no, it doesn't make up for its deficits with any particular style. Just a me-too cg action thriller [watch for Wolverine IV coming soon!].
The only plus would be for the ladies- the wolverine and his luscious washboard abs.

Better than most in its genre.
Certainly better than other Marvel films like the silly, lightweight dramatics of Thor or Iron Man.

Not the greatest in the franchise. Plot is laboured and contrived.

I like Wolverine and thought the movie was exciting and enjoyable. great pace and so many of the shots were visually artistic, and the train business, wow, superhero movies just keep getting better. It's only in retrospect I realize I still have no idea what the plot was, and superhero movies are still cliched and stupid. Many female characters, big part of their job is looking good in tight costumes, but you could say the same about Wolverine there, so points for trying.

In my opinion, this 6th (and hopefully last) installment in the X-Men series certainly tended to disappoint more than it satisfied.

(Spoilers Ahead!)

Let-down #1 - Finding out that Wolverine's apparently indestructible, adamantium knuckle-knives were, in fact, hollow. Sorry, but you don't create an X-Man like Wolverine and cut corners with his design by making his primary weapon cheap, hollow, and, yes, breakable.

Let-down #2 - You don't have an X-Man of Wolverine's respected status (who apparently fights for the sake of honour) turn around and bed the very woman whose life he's supposedly protecting.

Let-down #3 - I'd definitely say it's time to dispense with Wolverine's irksome visions and senseless guilt over Jean Grey's death. This nonsense only served to confuse and bog the story down and make Wolverine appear to be seriously unhinged.

Let-down # 4 - From my perspective, I think that Hugh Jackman (now 45) is clearly too old for his part. I notice that in close-ups he's rarely ever shot in natural light. The deep furrows in his brow give me an indication that there's plenty of stress in his life.

Yes. I could certainly continue slamming this $120 million production, non-stop. But I think my point has been made crystal-clear.

Now 13 years down the road, the Wolverine character has become as tiresome and stale as the likes of Freddy Krueger, for crying out loud!

I enjoyed it more than some of the other X-men movies.

Logan: Your grandfather called me a ronin, a samurai without a master. He said I was destined to live forever, with no reason to live.
Mariko: Was he right?
Logan: Yes.

Yukio: [draws a katana] This sword is hundreds of years old and was named Danzan by the first samurai who used it. Danzan means "separator" in Japanese. The ideal weapon for separating head and limb from body.
