Dreadful movie. Basically a Hollywood mess. Waste of Johnny Depp's talent. A clumsy, awful mish-mash.

I enjoyed this one even though it was a lot different from what the old TV Series was. This one tells it more like what it truly would have been if it were not fiction, because in the past there was too much sensationalization of previous Eras and their events.

The schtick of "let's make fun of stuff we all loved as kids" got old dozens of movies ago. The schtick of Tonto living on in a museum diorama is marginally interesting. The schtick of the horse choosing the wrong brother can't carry the whole movie. Nevertheless, the movie is fairly decent in a lot of ways, and could have been much worse.

The movie was way too long. While Johnny Depp played his character well, his partner, the Lone Ranger failed miserably. You won't be disappointed if you don't expect much.

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Sure it has plot holes you can run a locomotive through but it has comedy and drama and action galore, incredible scenery, and a lot of nods to history (some accurate, some not at all and more tongue-in-cheek). It is suppose to be a FUN movie people, no need to knock it because it isn't real and has no intention of being such. Fun galore here. Make some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the ride...had the movie not done so poorly in the theatres it would be the next Disney park ride!

If you're looking for this movie to be like the traditional characters from the original Lone Ranger, then don't waste your time. I had heard the bad reviews this movie got, so I didn't expect much. But, I found myself fully entertained and I really got a kick out of this movie. Some hokie parts, but all in all, I did enjoy it.

The only good thing about this movie was the William Tell overture.

What a bizarre movie. Not terrible, but a weird mix of action and comedy. At the end I was thinking what the heck was that, but I made it to end of the film.

Different. Not what I was expecting. Not how I remember the Lone Ranger, but somewhat entertaining.

I thought movie was supposed to be entertaining. Then, was those graphic, violent scenes in the middle of the movie necessary? Or, was it a cheap way for the writer to get our attention. I discontinued at that point.

Tonto: [translating "kemosabe"] Wrong brother.

Latham Cole: I want to show you something. From the time of Alexander the Great, no man could travel faster than a horse that carried him. Not anymore. Imagine; time and space, under the mastery of man, power makes emperors and kings... look like fools. Whoever controls this, controls the future.
