Definitely resides in the "Harlequin Romance" category. Pretty contrived story - boy meets girl from different side of tracks, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back, suddenly through "divine luck" happy ending.

Greatest book I have ever read. I love Nicholas Sparks and this is his best book yet. I loved the twists in this one.

What a romantic story about love, new and old. I had tears in my eyes the second chapter in and by the end it was a full on tearfest. Wow.

I had trouble getting into this book. Glad I stuck it out. It was a little lengthy at times, but very beautifully written letters to loved ones. Two beautiful love stories. Loved the ending!

Always a great read with some lifes lessons throughout the pages. I have read most all of this author, Nicholas Sparks books.

Not my favourite Sparks book. I only had 7 days to read this at my library so I skipped the "Ira" chapters halfway through the book. The ending was surprising though.

Thankfully, I listened to the audiobook, otherwise if I had read the book, I most likely would have quit reading after half of it. The narrators were great, which was the only reason I was able to finish it. It really seemed to drag on and on. A nice story line, but the switch from one couple to the next was so lengthy that I forgot where it left off each time. A big fan of Sparks, but his typical and predictable endings no longer make eager for the next book.
