Good action packed movie. Typical revenge story but still interesting. Both main characters are well portrayed. If you are looking for action entertainment I recommend this flic.

Better than I expected. I like Colin Farrell - here he has a great screen presence and exudes some humanity and emotion. Lots of blood and gore but a really quirky love story too which is its major appeal. Some clever touches and dialogue too.

A good film with with excellent acting, notably from Noomi Rapace. The movie really picks up when her character enters the movie. The story is a bit confusing at times but it all comes together towards the end. The main lines of the ending were predictable but it was still a satisfying conclusion as it was done in an interesting way and there was some originality to how it was done.

Above average crime drama. Well acted. Storyline has a couple twists to it. Violent. Something just didn't raise the level of this movie to particularly good. Seemed slow or overlong at times.

Surprisingly entertaining. Fairly well acted, lots of action scenes (ie. shoot outs, chases) though a bit over the top at times.

I really enjoyed this. A slow burning revenge flick with a distinct European flavor that relied on character development and the building tension that defined them. The leads are spot-on in their respective roles. Colin Farrell excels as the solemn tightly-wound wronged man; Noomi Rapace as his neighbor, interested in him for more than just his eyebrows; and Terrence Howard as the laid-back sleazebag crime boss. Danish director Niels Arden Oplev ("The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo") crafted a fine piece here with a satisfying climax. Underrated.

Darcy (to Victor, of his newborn son): "...Wasn't meant to be this way, you know? We make our plans, sure. But life... life is what happens to you along the way. ...You know -- first I didn't want this... I didn't want to connect; I didn't want to get involved... But she kept on with me, you know? This is what life is; this is why we're here, to connect, to... to build... We're here to build something. ...And then we had Theo. And then I understood that, you know, she was right. We're not meant to be alone. You know what she said to me? She said that even the most damaged heart... can be mended. Even the most damaged heart."
