A big disappointment. If you are a fan of Ian Fleming's James Bond then this book will disappoint you too. The author presents a seriously flawed and weak character, very little action, far too much detail in some ways and not enough plausible detail in others, and the ending is a lame attempt to make you wonder what really happened to the antagonist.

BORING!!! This is not a James Bond book. It's not even a good spy or mystery book. The Ian Fleming Society really got this one wrong. Eating scrambled eggs and having or wanting sex with every woman you see does not make a character into James Bond. Please bring back Raymond Benson.

Mostly boring. As I was getting more and more into the story, I was beginning to favour the 'villains' rather than the protagonist.

"James Bond was dreaming."

Worst first sentence EVER!

What I was doing was yawning. After 50 glacially slow pages, I quit.

I've read all Ian Fleming James Bond novels and this doesn't even come close to the spirit of the character. Maybe my hopes were too high.

Other readers might say it gets better but I can't justify the time investment just to find out.
