This album is a great way to introduce people who are not that into electronic music to the genre. Rather than sampling, Daft Punk had the budge to bring in musicians and construct tracks from the ground up. The production values are incredibly high.

This album gives me a funny feeling... in a good way. Do you know what random access memory is? Look it up! :)

I was very disappointed with this album. Their albums in the past have been way better.

Don't know, I'm 65, and neither daft nor punk, and found myself dancing alone with headphones on at 2 a.m. (whilst my folk-rock loving wife slept peacefully). Reminds me a bit of Simply Red, but with better lyrics. I second the "Giorgio by Moroder" comment by writingonfilm. These guys are disco scholars, of sorts, who make a good case for electronic music.

Spectacular album

This is my album of the summer. I must buy my own copy. My favourite tracks are "Giorgio by Moroder", "Get Lucky" and "Doin' It Right".

The most important act in global dance music? Maybe. On this insanely anticipated 70-minute album, the French duo flips their script with guest appearances from Strokes singer Julian Casablancas, dance godfather Giorgio Moroder and shmaltz guru Paul Williams, creating a prog-tastic disco fantasia full of electro-jazz-funk, kitsch-pop and splashes of Eurodisco/house fusion. From the RS review: "Completely ridiculous, remarkably beautiful and affecting, it sounds almost nothing like EDM.
