I did not like Dexter's treatment and thoughts toward Rita, nor his foray into the glitter and superficiality of Hollywood. I can accept him as a lovable serial killer, but not this slimey version of Dexter. Hope the books don't end, not after how the TV show butchered what could of been a brilliant finale.

Is this really the last book in this series? I found myself caught up in the plot, even after I finished reading it. Can they really end it this way?

Dexter wants to be a movie star! It is interesting how much the book character has diverged from the TV series character. But I have to say I really enjoy the book Dexter! Not to say I don't enjoy the TV series too. It's a really great read for those who enjoy the rather odd view on life of a serial killer that also works for the police department.
