Jack Reacher is well over 6 feet (6'6" I think) and solid muscle. Cruise is 5'4" and a pipsqueak. From there this went DOWNHILL fast. Don't bother.

This is a very good movie. I really liked the story and I would like a friend like Jack Reacher in my life. This is one of the best movies that Tom Cruise has been in. He also help produce the movie. I would give this movie 5 stars. There is also some great action shots in Pittsburgh PA.

This is a 2012 American thriller written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, based on Lee Child's 2005 novel "One Shot."
The plot is somewhat too complicated for me to understand.
While watching the film, I was at loss what's going on at times.
Although the law has its limits, even Jack Reacher is not perfect at all.
I really don't understand how come James Barr jotted down: Get Jack Reacher.
I wouldn't do that in the first place.
Well, it's only a movie.

Good action flick with some predictable plot twists and ok story. Fight choreography was a little humorous at some points. Focus on the clues and evidence was sort of weak.

Decent action film, with some good plot twists. Tom Cruise plays this character well, with a sharp edge not normally seen in his other parts. Enjoyable for a 2 Hour respite from a long day.

Yet Another Tom Cruise Vehicle, and not much point otherwise.

Decent action thriller with some gritty psychological drama. I'd choose this over some mindless Bugs Bunny action hero CGI movie.

i HATED this movie. I honestly laughed at some of the more supposedly "intense" scenes because i thought the character was being sarcastic, and even tongue in cheek (the phone conversation alone was funnier than most comedy's out nowadays.) Usually i enjoy these movies on a sunday afternoon, but this was nothing but crap. Skip this... please. Unless you want a good laugh at the films expense.

Overall pacing was pretty good, acting was all right, but basically forgettable - typical action get the bad guys movie.

Jack Reacher: Look out the window. Tell me what you see. You see the same things that you see everyday. Well, imagine you've never seen it. Imagine you spent your whole life in other parts of the world, being told everyday that you're defending freedom. Then you finally decide you've had enough. Time to see what you've given up your whole life for, everything. Get some of that "freedom" for yourself. Look at the people. You tell me which ones are free. Free from debt. Anxiety. Stress. Fear. Failure. Indignity. Betrayal. How many wish that they were born knowing what they know now? Ask yourself how many would do things the same way over again, and how many would live their lives like me.

Jack Reacher: You think I'm a hero? I am not a hero. I'm a drifter with nothing to lose. Now you killed that girl to put me in a frame. I mean to beat you to death and drink your blood from a boot! Now this is how it's gonna work. You're gonna give me the address and I'll be along when I'm damn good and ready. If she doesn't answer the phone when I call this number, if I even think you've hurt her, I disappear. And if you're smart, that scares you. Because I'm in your blind spot. And I have nothing better to do.

Jack Reacher: There're three things cops never do: they don't vote Democrat, they don't drive Cadillacs, and they never use personal vehicles.---Jack Reacher: There are four types of people who join the military. For some, it's family trade. Others are patriots, eager to serve. Next you have those who just need a job. Than there's the kind who want the legal means of killing other people.---James Barr (on JR): There's this guy. He's a kind of cop, at least he used to be. He doesn't care about proof, he doesn't care about the law, he only cares about what's right. He knows what I did. You can't protect me. No one can.
