well worth the read!
fast paced and thoughtful, author gives a delicate touch to a very sickening topic.

A very well researched thriller (not a mystery) with characters from a difficult topic - child abduction and slavery. Treatment is done carefully without getting salacious though some people may find the whole topic disturbing. The initial character development of the protagonist is superb and sounds very credible, an excellent start to the book. However, to keep the suspense up throughout the book, plot credibility is soon discarded and one is quickly reminded of being in a fictional world. The protagonist, introduced with fear and mistrust of male strangers, quickly finds herself doing the horror film equivalent of going alone into deserted places even while people are getting killed in the area, the Police and FBI appear chaotic and leaderless while the villain, introduced right near the beginning, carries out his complex plans a bit too perfectly than what one might expect credibly in reality. Very well written book albeit with some flawed plot lines. Worth reading if you like thrillers that keep you glued to the book with a fast moving style.

"Still struggling to live a normal life after years of torture at the hands of a sadistic kidnapper, Reeve LeClaire (new name, new face, years of therapy) reluctantly agrees to help with the rehabilitation of another rescued abductee, a young girl named Tilly - only to discover that Tilly's abductor is not only still at large but still pursuing her. Armed with knowledge that Tilly has shared with her and not with the police, Reeve begins to investigate the predator's identity. If tales of victimised women who go on to help those in similar situations are your cup of tea, you can also try Others of My Kind by James Sallis."
