Since then, she's become the protector of her House, watched Chicago nearly burn to the ground, and seen her Master fall and rise. Now she'll see her mettle--and her metal--tested like never before. It starts when two Rogues vanish without a trace. Someone is targeting Chicago's vampires, and anyone could be next. With their House in peril, Merit and her Master, centuries-old Ethan Sullivan, must race to stop the disappearances. But as they untangle a web of secret alliances and ancient evils, they realize their foe is more familiar, and more powerful, than they could have ever imagined"--

Add a CommentMuch better than the last book. Glad to see Merit and her gang are back on track doing what they do best. Perhaps I’m reading too much into this (or I’ve been oblivious to something that’s been right under my nose), but for the first time I saw a direct correlation between how Chicago treats vampires and how Germany treated the Jews at the beginning of WWII. I wonder if Neill is keeping this in the back of her mind and we will be seeing more similarities in future books.
Love this series. House Rules is book 7 in the Chicagoland vamp series.
