Hotel Transylvania is such an awesome movie! Mavis (Dracula's daughter) is having her 18th birthday at her fathers hotel for only monsters. Her one birthday wish was to go out and see a humans village because she has always been fascinated by humans but has never seen one. Her father (Dracula) was convinced that humans are bad people and will destroy her daughter if she ever comes in contact with them. When he agrees to let Mavis travel to a human place he creates a fake village with zombies to try and prove to Mavis that humans are bad, just to protect her. She was mortified. But then an actual human ends up finding the hotel which causes Dracula to lose his chill. He quickly dresses the boy up so he can blend in with the other monsters until he can find a way to get the human out. His plan doesn’t go so well because eventually Mavis finds the human/ pretend monster and things completely turn around from there. I really like this movie because it was so funny and was so good to watch with the family. I really think Selena Gomez did a really good job at playing the voice of Mavis because the expressions of her voice really did bring the character to life. As well as Adam Sandler who played the voice of Dracula. He really made it sound like he was scary but at the same time made it hilarious. It was all so well put together and that made it so amazing to watch.

Cute little Halloween season movie, with an entertaining take on classic movie monsters. Not the deepest of plots, but not insultingly simple either. The soundtrack is quickly going to date it, but the father-daughter story at the heart of it is a timeless theme.
