Good cast, adequate acting, boring story. Watch it if you must but don't expect to remember anything about it an hour later!

Good Richard Gere acting in a somewhat uneven and poorly caste production.

Interesting story and could have been much better, but enjoyable enough.

Richard Gere is an excellent actor and he made this film work. Otherwise, it probably would have seemed as a flat, superficial movie.

An above-average thriller with some decent performances to paper over some pretty contrived situations.

Although I thought this was a pretty typical Hollywood movie, I actually enjoyed the commentary by the (1st time Hollywood) director more than the movie. I thought his recap of his personal history (he's young so it's short) was fascinating. I think his commentary would be fascinating for anyone interested in pursuing a Hollywood directing career. He's a bit obnoxious and self-absorbed but he had a lot of interesting things to say. I would definitely watch another movie directed by him.

Superior acting! Richard was captivating but had good supporting cast too that pulled all the pieces togther. Excellent plot driven movie with layer upon layer.

Barely okay. Gere's character was thoroughly despicable. I didn't care about the outcome of this movie and his fate. On top of that, the swearing was way over the top. Cannot recommend.

While it is unusual that her left wing would even consider one raising funds for a hospital as a money groveling spouse, the roles that both Richard Gere and Susan Saradon are so predictable. The casting was poor for both roles in case with them being so over-the-hill not to mention being able to write the script in my sleep given Gere's past movies in particular.

What a good movie! Richard Gere is a wonderful actor, and he definitely makes this movie excellent. Very entertaining, the script is tight, keeps you tense to the end. The moral side of the whole movie is quite strong, especially where the police detective... but I don't want to spoil it for the people who haven't watched it.
