Superior acting! Richard was captivating but had good supporting cast too that pulled all the pieces togther. Excellent plot driven movie with layer upon layer.

Barely okay. Gere's character was thoroughly despicable. I didn't care about the outcome of this movie and his fate. On top of that, the swearing was way over the top. Cannot recommend.

While it is unusual that her left wing would even consider one raising funds for a hospital as a money groveling spouse, the roles that both Richard Gere and Susan Saradon are so predictable. The casting was poor for both roles in case with them being so over-the-hill not to mention being able to write the script in my sleep given Gere's past movies in particular.

What a good movie! Richard Gere is a wonderful actor, and he definitely makes this movie excellent. Very entertaining, the script is tight, keeps you tense to the end. The moral side of the whole movie is quite strong, especially where the police detective... but I don't want to spoil it for the people who haven't watched it.

I really enjoyed this movie. Good story line and well acted. Kept me interested the whole way through. I think that this story line portrays what really often happens in our society.

The whole movie pivots around Richard Gere's character and he carries it off very well. The story is suspenceful, the characters are interesting, and the moral lessons are compelling. I was surprised at how good this movie is.

if you like an argument then arbitrage is your kind of movie by the end you be in a rage.

i have always have loved richard gere in movies. but this movie is another example of how the wife gets him out of trouble . its sad he probably lost his daughters respect anyway.maybe it will all work out after all and she will forgive him too.

YAMAHTSMIBTE - Yet Another Movie About How The Stock Market Is Breaking The Economy. This one doesn't really add much to the debate.

Well-made, well-acted movie about the troubles of a Wall Street hustler, marred a little by the fact that the director has more sympathy for Gere's character than is likely from most audience members. Interesting story within a story, if you watch a 2nd time with commentary on, about how an obsessive "crazy, but in a good way" film fan breaks into a 1st time directing job and produces this quality film.
