The mask isn't for your protection, but for the people you care about - Batman
Bane: "The fire rises."
Batman: (on a rooftop, talking with Selina. Turns away briefly, then turns back, and realizes she's gone) "So that's what that feels like."
Bane: "...Ohhhh, you think darkness is your ally... But you merely adopted the dark... I was born in it! Molded by it... I didn't see the light until I was already a man. By then it was nothing to me but BLINDING! (grabs Batman from the shadows and continues to beat him) The shadows betray you, because they belong to me! (repeatedly punches Batman in the face, breaking his cowl) I will show you where I have made my home whilst preparing to bring justice. Then, I will break you. (Hits detonator, blowing a hole into the bottom of Wayne Enterprise) Your precious armory, gratefully accepted! We will need it."
Bane: "Ah yes! I was wondering what would break first! Your spirit... (dead-lifts Batman over his head) ...or your body!" (slams him down on his knee)

Add a CommentThought the story line was not what it could have been and I'm not a big catwoman fan BUT I did enjoy the movie and would watch it again. Big Batman fan and Bale does the role justice. The ending suprised me....I liked it.
It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.
Fine actors such as Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine, what are they doing here? Got paid big bucks?Christian Bale looked tired and withdawn. His body moves too slow in action scenes. Sorry I'm not a batman fan.
If your looking for Dark, Violent, over the top characters, and lot's of action. This movie is for you.
Engrossing! Loved it!
To be honest I was a little disappointed in the overall storyline of this movie, but for the most part it was a good ending to the series. It was nice to see Catwoman, but some back story would have been nice for the character.
One of the best movies ever made, on earth. That's all.
LOVE Batman, love the dark psychology, growth, ups and downs of batman and his friends, love the character developments, love how they brought these comic book characters into real people, love this journey of a dark hero, love the messages of the movie, the themes, and love hardships he has to overcome, love the MUSIC! love love love this trilogy. I think I like this one the best :)
It may not be fair, but it is impossible not to compare this Batman movie with others who have come before it. So complaints first. This movie was way too long. A good 20 minutes could have been cut and made the pacing tighter. Second, I had no clue what the heck was going on or why this Bane person had so much animosity towards Batman and Gotham City. And it didn't help that the main antagonist Bane had the oddest voice. This big man, who was oviously a phsical threat, had the voice of a retired college professor after a cup of Sleepytime tea so I had no idea what he was saying. It was distracting for me. The good parts. Not fair to compare Anne Hathoway's Catwoman with Michelle Phieffer's portrayal. But, Hathaway did a great job. And her character had much more depth than any other character in the movie. I liked her and her moral ambiguity. The last 30 minutes were very well done and got my adrenaline pumping. So not bad for a movie, but could have been better.
AMAZING - a great end to this Batman reboot, but I would definately recommend watching it with subtitles on. When Batman and Bane start talking (both through their masks) I couldn't understand half of it in the theatre.
