Add a CommentI like both of the leads quite a bit and found the movie to be enjoyable for that reason. Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan have great chemistry (thankfully since not all off-screen chemistry translates onscreen) and Kazan is a talented writer. I look forward to seeing how their careers develop. This movie is charming.
Far too unbelievable for good viewing. Okay in the beginning but a far too predictable ending... Okay if there's nothing better on TV to watch.
Very slow pace movie. The plot is dumb.
Reminded me of Stranger than Fiction. Was dissappointed in the end. Why would a young guy like that use a typewriter and a corded phone? I loved the idea - the movie itself was great - but there were alot of holes.
I generally like Paul Dano. To be fair, he did a good job of acting in this movie. That being said, it just wasn't my cup of tea. Sort of a supernatural twist on a romantic dramady. Fell short of anything more than keeping my attention to see how it ended.
This is both a humorous fantasy and thought provoking as well.
My husband and I both really enjoyed this movie. It makes you think about trying to change someone...and how even if they change for you, you still arent happy! We laughed a few times through the movie and we really liked it.
This movie is a hit and miss. The two lead characters are fairly interesting, but the supporting characters less so. Calvin's parents are flat stereotypes, and his brother, who looks to be of no relation to him, is base and crude. The best part of the movie is the theme of the relationship between love and free will.
