Clever and imaginative work of film. Hard to believe it was written by such a young person, but what an imagination!

Overlooked gem.

This is a good movie to watch if you interpreted it in the way that I interpreted it. My thought was that this was a movie that was made with the intent of deconstructing the 'Manic Pixie Dream Girl' trope and demonstrating how women are more complex than one man's perception and expectations of her. So in that case I would say it is worth seeing.

a contemporary twist on the Pygmalion story ... the story is a little uneven, but everyone is very earnest in their portrayals. It would have been more whimsical if there had not been so many fbombs, but it is definitely worth seeing.

A clever story about writing and creating characters and what if??? I have to say this is not an original idea. Although at times it seems to be a vehicle for Zoe Kazan and Paul Dano to star in a movie they are well cast. Or perhaps the parts were written with them in mind since it was written by Ms. Kazan. It was fun to watch and very engaging although some parts were overdone and predictable.

The idea, and exploration of the concept of "control" in a relationship, is great. The movie itself falters in a number of places.

I like both of the leads quite a bit and found the movie to be enjoyable for that reason. Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan have great chemistry (thankfully since not all off-screen chemistry translates onscreen) and Kazan is a talented writer. I look forward to seeing how their careers develop. This movie is charming.

Far too unbelievable for good viewing. Okay in the beginning but a far too predictable ending...
Okay if there's nothing better on TV to watch.

Very slow pace movie. The plot is dumb.

Reminded me of Stranger than Fiction. Was dissappointed in the end. Why would a young guy like that use a typewriter and a corded phone? I loved the idea - the movie itself was great - but there were alot of holes.
