Add a CommentThis is the third in a trilogy of books about the people of the small town of Holt in northern Colorado. It can be read as a stand alone. This novel is exquisitely beautiful. Every scene touches the heart. The ordinary is made extraordinary. Life, while full of sorrow, is also full of joy and loveliness. Every word is a treasure. Read this book, and then read the first two: Plainsong and Eventide.
I loved this book. The people and their struggles all seemed very real to me. The writing is superb. The story touched my heart and made me cry. There are many sad stories, but it is not hopeless.
