A series of horrifying events occur in quick succession in the same upscale L.A. neighborhood. A backyard renovation unearths an infant's body, buried sixty years ago. And soon thereafter in a nearby park, another disturbingly bizarre discovery is made not far from the body of a young woman shot in the head. Helping LAPD homicide detective Milo Sturgis to link these eerie incidents is brilliant psychologist Alex Delaware. But even the good doctor's vast experience with matters both clinical and criminal might not be enough to cut down to the bone of this chilling case--and draw out the disturbing truth.

About average for this series. I continue to enjoy Kellerman's physical descriptions of clothing as much as his narrative.

we are on an emergency trip to Vancouver with the titles guilt and the dinner. We will have these back to the branch on April 1st. Thanks

An alright Delaware/Sturgis mystery. However, Kellerman's others are better.

Definitely not one of his best. Disjointed, silly plot, boring characters. The best part is the dog.

Absolutely love this book, have been having a hard time putting it down!! I'm frustrated because I have this book on a "Hits to Go" loan, have to return it today, and am only half way (Page 162, hard cover book) (sigh!! and arghhh!!). I'm very much looking forward to getting this back as it's one of Kellerman's better books and I can' wait to see how things resolve themselves. Please get more copies!!!

Horrible. I was forcing myself to read it. Finally skipped to the very end and gave up on it.

This is the worst Kellerman novel I've read. The characters are flat, the dialogue is perfunctory, and the whole Milo/Alex friendship and banter is missing. Ugh, save your time.
