A series of horrifying events occur in quick succession in the same upscale L.A. neighborhood. A backyard renovation unearths an infant's body, buried sixty years ago. And soon thereafter in a nearby park, another disturbingly bizarre discovery is made not far from the body of a young woman shot in the head. Helping LAPD homicide detective Milo Sturgis to link these eerie incidents is brilliant psychologist Alex Delaware. But even the good doctor's vast experience with matters both clinical and criminal might not be enough to cut down to the bone of this chilling case--and draw out the disturbing truth.

Whodunit involving two buried infant bodies in unmarked graves and a runner who is found stabbed. Are the crimes related?
The story takes a detective and a psychologist to follow the clues, interview people to come to their conclusion. A little bit hard to read because of the Author's style of writing and so it took longer. Would have a hard time reading the author again.

I've been disappointed lately by a lot of my go-to authors, so I was so happy to read such a solid entry in the Alex Delaware series. I was also pleasantly surprised that this one came with a twist at the end that took me by surprise. The writing was, as always, excellent; relationships and interplay between Alex, Milo, and Robin were perfect as well. Blanche was an unexpectedly great sidekick.

Also, some of the recent books in this series (or at least the ones I've read recently) have been on the gorier and creepier side. Despite its beginning, this one didn't end up being too much of either of those, which was refreshing. A definite recommend from me.

About average for this series. I continue to enjoy Kellerman's physical descriptions of clothing as much as his narrative.

we are on an emergency trip to Vancouver with the titles guilt and the dinner. We will have these back to the branch on April 1st. Thanks

An alright Delaware/Sturgis mystery. However, Kellerman's others are better.

Definitely not one of his best. Disjointed, silly plot, boring characters. The best part is the dog.
