This cookbook is kinda silly with some very basic Southern recipes. I think it’s more of a marketing ploy than a serious cookbook. But it was entertaining, although I doubt I’ll make any recipes from it.

I don't know what kind of recipes I was expecting but nothing in this book appealed to me, and I didn't like all the nonsense about 1-season characters like Marnie or the Maenad. I like trying Southern food but I won't be trying anything from this book. Suck it, Alan Ball! Also a lot of this book (maybe 1/4) is bartending recipes.
