I was a bit surprised to only find 2 recipes to take away from this whole book (both of which were sides). She has definitely published better recipe collections.

There are only a few recipes that are worth while in this book, it really is more of an advertisement for the author and her family. i would rather see more cooking ideas than pictures of her family. Much of it can be found online.

This was the second time I checked this book out. While it isn't the most creative cookbook out there, it does have a lot of good recipes, particularly great for families & those w/children just exploring the world around them. I like Giada's recipes because they are accessible & easily adaptable to meet a variety of needs & tastes.
