Add a CommentThis is a really sweet story from Alexander McCall Smith. Features the childhood of Precious Ramotswe, heroine of his popular series, The Number 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. The reader on the cd is excellent and this would be a charming story to listen to during a car trip. It's about a hour long to listen to and won't disappoint.
If you love this series, you'll enjoy this charming story set during Precious Ramotswe's childhood. Her beloved father makes an appearance, telling Prescious the story about his adventure with a lion, and then Precious solves her very first case. The narrator of the audiobook, Adjoa Andoh, is just as talented as Lisette Lecat (narrator of the regular series) as she transforms her voice to make each character unique.
