I loved The Last Werewolf and also thoroughlyenjoyed this book. While it's not quite as seductive as The Last Werewolf it's pretty close and just as raw, steep and mesmerizing.

Wow-what a read! Very raw and sexual, good pace, left plenty of room for a sequel. Choppy storytelling, but it fit the character's voice.

If you enjoyed the first one, you should be satisfied with this sequel. It's not really because of the characters. To be honest, I prefer Jake's character & story to Tallula's. Also, the book feels just a tad too long. There are countless moments of PERIL & a little editing could have tightened it up (sometimes things are scarier when there's less detail & more room for the reader's imagination) without affecting the plot. But I guess that's Duncan's style & ultimately, why you read his books. If you enjoy his blunt, honest & sardonic take on life, you'll enjoy the book, regardless of who inhabits his twisted world.
