Great story, made better by Jim Dale, the reader from the Harry Potter series of audiobooks. Witches, wizards, dwarves, crazy monsters with swords and time travel! Doesn't get any better than that!

we loved the narration by Jim Dale, the Harry Potter narrator. Good story - it grew on us as we listened. Strong family theme. My 12-year-old son really enjoyed it.

This book kept my 3 children 13, 11, 10 "silent" on our 4 hour car trip! It's a good one.

What a wonderful new fantasy series! It's so well written--has all the right elements. 3 children on a quest for their parents, books of knowledge, strong supporting characters and a terrific "baddie" too. I loved listening to this cd--the same fellow who did the reading for all the audio Harry potter cd's, Jim Dale, did the reading on this as well. All in all, the start of one terrific new series--I'll be looking forward to the next one for sure!
