This is the cookbook I go back to, time after time. If you only have a few cookbooks, this should be one of them.

Nigella's food writing in this volume is extraordinary, but even better, the recipes all work. They are brilliant! I have gotten so many complements on the meals I have made from this volume, more than any other cookbook I own! One of the things I love about this book is how it is organized around seasonal meals, not just individual dishes, and they way it is designed for entertaining. We could all do more of that these days.

The only disappointment is that there are no photos, but the recipes more than make up for it.
