...So Cher Wins The Oscar For The Best Actress In 1987 For Her Role In This Movie!...I Mean She Did Better Than What I Expected...But Oscar Worthy Performance...I Disagree!...Movie Was Okay Overall; A Bit Outdated In Terms Of Today's Rom/Com!

Honestly, I'm not sure if I like or dislike this movie. I must say, it was one of the oddest movies I have ever seen. I do not like Cher but she was sorta nice. Nicholas Cage, I mean come on, it's Nick Cage! But, I must say, Cher is like 20 years older than Cage in this movie, making it hilarious to watch them kiss and all. Haha!

If you want to watch a real quirky movie, go for it!

After some 25 years this romance/comedy by Canadian director Norman Jewison still holds its position as one of the best in this category. I have never been a fan of Cher, but like her in this film. A good film to watch to give you a 'lift' for the day.

It works as a drama but not as a comedy.

Glorious romantic farce, with Cher as Loretta, a dutiful, middle age Italian widow, planning a "sensible" 2nd marriage to stolid Danny Aiello...who then falls for his sexy younger brother (Nicholas Cage). Along the way, Loretta dyes her hair, gets a sexy makevoer, and turns into...Cher. Great supporting cast: Aiello, Olympia Dukakis as Loretta's world-weary mother, and John Mahoney as a silver fox outfoxed.

Wildly romantic and hilarious. My all-time favorite movie. Cher and Dukakis and Gardenia are superb. Deserved all it's Oscars and more.

I'm no fan of Cher but she did impress me with her italian flare. This movie is great to watch for it's acting, music and it's laughter.

Must See - Moonstruck (1987) 102 min. What could I say about this movie that hasn't already been said. The film is charming, funny, and incredibly satisfying to watch. Each character is wonderful; each relationship and interraction is a treat to behold. Borrow this movie and enjoy a delightful picture. 1988 Oscar winner for Best Actress (Cher), Supporting Actress (Olympia Dukakis), Original Screenplay and nominated for Best Picture, Director, and Supporting Actor (Vincent Gardenia)
