The acting in this movie is very good,
however, I do not find it accurate representation per history. Do these producers not realize that the "Russians" were not around then? What was called the "Soviet Union"? I am not sure why they would not be straight in that title.
Fairly violent, but worthy story.

A very good movie, and some amazing acting and scenes. Slightly longer than it needed to be, and the story was sometimes a little disjointed, but certainly worth watching.

Pretty engrossing stuff. Couldn't pause it to go to bed, and now I'm going to be tired (again) tomorrow. Also, now I have 2 more books on my for later shelf. I'm going to have to live a long long time to get through that list! Oh well, never bored!

Terrific recreation of those events. Bruno Ganz is stunning as Hitler. Everyone can be reminded of what it means to be a Nazi by Mrs.Geobbels. She murdered her six beautiful children, to save them from being a member of a world that would exist without the Nazi Party. Nice Mom????The opening sequence of hiring a secretary almost makes you think the movie is going to humanize Hitler...not for long

Ganz does a great job of playing Hitler, even down his accent, which is pantomimed to BRD Kanzler Konrad Adenauer in "the Baader-Meinhof Complex". One of the most gripping scenes are the ones portraying the childrens' fealty to Hitler: "Wir sind zu Hitler geschworn'", especially, the socialist expedient to the disolution of it's power was to plunder the lives of children. Anyone that espouses socialism should see this movie and support the republican aim of a tacit nationalism without an overweening statism. Buy your own butter and bandages!

Watching Bruno the Hitler was truly a great experience. Probably the best performance in his acting career. I also found his subtle, quiet performance in "Eternity and a Day"(directed by Theodoros Angelopoulos) superb!

I'm going to watch this because I watch parodies on Youtube.

FEGELEIN! FEGELEIN! FEGELEIN!

A war movie as they should be made. No hero. Monsters all over. The aura of "all falling apart" is overwhelming, and there is no fun to have in watching this movie. It's actually mesmerizing, in a dirty way, and it hurts all the way along.

Brilliantly played, you feel you are there, and you don't want to be there! Watch it all the same, it's a chef d'oeuvre.
