Add a CommentNot the Coens best but once again annoying cult fans have to shout to the skies how great it is with their reviews. The Coens are great filmmakers. That doesn't mean every one of their films has to be great.
One of those underrated gangster movies that not a lot of people have heard of. Good acting and writing. Some really memorable scenes. John Turturro's really stands out.
This is a lot of fun. However, if you have a short attention span, then this is not the movie for you. The first 20 minutes of this movie are almost a stage play. The scene with John Tuturro in the woods is very memorable. The scene where the song Danny Boy plays is very funny, and I'm usually not the kind of person that finds violence to be funny.
Amazing movie. The Coen Brothers are consistently excellent with each of their films. John Turturro's acting in the forest scene is ridiculously good.
The Coens' best-and THAT'S saying something!
