The part on the island was pretty entertaining but the part before and after island were routine and boring. I can't stand his wife. And the end where he finds another woman randomly is too precious.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.

This is basically a one-man show, so if you don't like watching Tom Hank, which you pretty well have to throughout the film, you should skip it. Otherwise, this is a pretty realistic survival story, one with several memorable moments of emotion. A good watch.

A demanding movie, in a way: lots is left to the viewer to infer. The opening and closing parts (off the island) can feel quite choppy. The film repays additional viewings: there is a lot to take in at times, and you tend to pick up things you missed.

A very captivating and touching movie!

Tom Hanks does a great job considering the majority of the movie is just him. You actually almost want to cry with him over Wilson!
